Start with flow, not the robot

A successful automated cell is designed around blank presentation, part centering, bend sequence, gripper access, unloading orientation and the next process. Robot payload and reach are consequences of that flow.

For mixed production, the control strategy must also define recipe changes, buffers, exception handling and how operators recover from a stopped cycle.

Build an acceptance plan before engineering

Define the representative part set, target takt, acceptable manual interventions, quality checks and line-availability calculation before the layout is frozen. This creates measurable factory and site acceptance criteria.
